My first skype introduction

A few days ago, I had my first skype introduction for the course. Maria, my university supervisor, was able to engage and excite me about my forthcoming studies. The session was a brilliant taster to the course. It was also great to meet a supportive figure on the course.  In our session, we were able to converse about the course outline with special reference to module one. In addition to this, we had another discussion about my study plan, which fits in perfectly with my other commitments, allowing me to have a feasible way to study.  I was very glad we were able to discuss module one. This allowed me to ask all questions I had regarding the curriculum. Maria was very helpful, especially setting targets for me. Questioning seems to be a theme on the course and I liked how the process makes you think and reflect. Reading Adesola’s post has made me think about beginnings and thought process behind this.  A beginning, as a point in time or space at which something begins, sounds fresh and exciting. It feels like a moment of destiny, and moment of fresh change. Everyone remembers their first day at school, their first ever job, but a beginning can fill you with fear.  Working in the industry has many fresh beginnings and beginnings that also feel like a continue moving state. I did not start performing until I was 21, having my first dance class at the same age but worked hard with the skills set I had.   I remember my first professional panto as a main role. I was excited to start rehearsals, looked forward to meeting and excited to actually work. I remember the phone call from the director, I was ecstatic to be a part of the show, every moment I was full of excitement.
