University Session

    On Friday, I attended my first session at the university. I was very excited to actually see my peers in person, which turned out to be a great experience. It was a good chance to talk to students who were on a variety of modules. We asked each other questions and offered advice too. This session helped to clarify some points.   We discussed at length many items about the modules. The two points that seemed really important to me were, the lack time we have to work with.   Secondary, the importance of a learning community, which I feel I could involve myself with more. It was great to discus and talk with fellow students. To start an active input on this theme, I am hoping to attend the Module Three presentations on 7 th and 8 th May. Module 2, Session 2

I was once again relieved to hear other student’s questions regarding Module 2. The main theme for this session was research. Adesloa, informed us that Module 2 is present to help us learn how to research design and not so much on about the topic. She stated, there were three types of research. These are as follows: Mapping: Looking across and understanding the main aspects of an artist or disclosure, thus                     giving a good overall understanding of the topic. Evident findings: where you are using research you have found to show a trend that is happening. Suggestion: Where you offer a suggestion, change, or solution to help the development of research findings. We were going to be focusing on ‘mapping’ for this module.
